Windows laptop panels are not bonded the way a MacBook display is, which makes this a cheaper and usually faster repair. We hold panels for the models that come through the shop most often, so many of these are done while you wait.

Questions we get asked
- Do you have the screen for my model in stock?
- For common HP, Dell and Lenovo models, usually yes. Send us the model number over WhatsApp — it is on the sticker underneath — and we will tell you before you make the trip.
- Why is a laptop screen cheaper than a MacBook one?
- On most Windows laptops the panel is a separate part that unclips from the lid. On a modern MacBook the glass, panel and backlight are bonded into one assembly, so the whole assembly has to be replaced.
- The screen is fine but the picture is not. Is it still the panel?
- Not necessarily. Plug into an external monitor: if that picture is clean, the fault is the panel or its cable. If the external is also wrong, it is the graphics, which is a board repair.
