Find the model before you message
The model number is printed in small type on the underside: an A and four digits, such as A2337 for the 2020 MacBook Air. Or open the Apple menu, then About This Mac. Send either on WhatsApp and we tell you whether the part is on the shelf.
Worth knowing about MacBook repairs
Much of a modern MacBook is one assembly
On many recent models the keyboard and battery are fixed into the top case, and the storage is soldered to the logic board. That is why we quote by exact model.
Board-level repair changes the sum
A Mac that will not turn on, or has had a spill, usually has one failed component rather than a dead board. Repairing that part under the microscope is often a fraction of the price of a replacement board.
Still under Apple's cover? Go to Apple first
We are an independent repair shop, not Apple authorised. If your Mac is still under Apple's warranty or AppleCare, Apple is the right first call. This bench is for Macs that are out of cover.
Questions MacBook owners ask
